Hôtel L'Argonn' Auberge is located beside Argonne Forest, 7 km from the village of Varennes-en-Argonne. Guests can relax in the hot tub and in the sauna. The rooms feature a flat-screen TV. Very easy to find in the centre of a small village. There is plenty of free car parking available. The rooms are very large, clean, comfortable, well appointed and very quiet. The staff are lovely and speak reasonable English. The food in the restaurant is excellent and very good value for money. It is a good base to explore the Ardennes and is very, very popular with hunters.

Auberge de L'Abbaye is situated in the valley in the Ardennes Region. This former monastic site offers individually decorated rooms are en suite with free Wi-Fi internet access. A lovely Auberge where we stopped for 1 night on our journey north. Restaurant very good and our dog was allowed to accompany us for meals. Spacious clean room nicely designed . Friendly staff although we had to guess what they were saying as our French is not good.

Hôtel Le Château Fort is a unique medieval fortress located in Sedan. It offers soundproofed rooms and suites with free Wi-Fi and a private bathroom, cable TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Was a unique experience to stay in the top of a castle. Our room had a door that opened onto the ramparts allowing us to walk around in the evening. It was off season so hardly any other guests there. Restaurant and bar were closed but a short drive put us at a recommended restaurant. The room was modern and comfy and quiet.

Stay in Hotel Le Pélican, located in Charleville-Mézières, home town of the French poet Rimbaud. It is a 10-minute walk and 5-minute drive from the centre. Loved the convenient location, smooth check in and check out process, and clean rooms. Although the owner didn't speak English very well, she was very friendly and communicated everything I needed to know!

Situated in Vireux-Wallerand, 28 km from Anseremme, Chateau de Wallerand features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Beautiful hotel on a great location at the river Meuse(Maas) The hotel is very nicely created in Chateau de Wallerand with high quality materials and interior design. We used the diner in the hotel, quality and taste of the meal was perfect, good chef! Staff was helpful and friendly. Next morning we used the Spa facilities, over here we found the same quality of design and cleanliness as in the rest of the hotel. Overall a great place to stay and to return in the future!

HOTEL L'AMERIVIERE*** has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Aubrives. This 3-star hotel features free WiFi and a bar. The hotel was also the local pub, bakery and cafe (although they were closed when we arrived) The owner was welcoming and allowed us to use his garage for our motorbike. The breakfast was continental style and plentiful. The hotel was a short distance from the river with some lovely walks.

Set in Les Hautes-Rivières, Auberge en Ardenne has a garden, restaurant, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. The location was stunning and the property itself was very clean, being on a motorbike the added extra of the secure garage was a clear bonus. Lue & Christine were fantastic hosts and the staff were very friendly. Sadly my French is literally hello and goodbye however with lue and google translate we managed. Brilliant stay thank you so much.
