Located in Amerang, 46 km from Erl Passion Play Theatre, DAS STEIN provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. Excellent place to stay. In traditional building which is beautiful and in a lovely setting, however everything inside is super modern and a lovely common area around a fire place . the breakfast is exceptionally good, and staff were lovely. We booked a triple but got a bonus small alcove room off to the side of the bathroom which gave more space. Parking super easy and spacious. Great restaurant across the street. Best breakfast ever !!!

This hotel and restaurant deserve an extra plus on the 10 out of 10 . The very old government building has been converted into a very updated and modern hotel with the original old exterior and a very well designed and engineered interior which is aesthetically pleasing and very comfortable. Rooms are large and clean , bright and comfortable. Bathroom is modern , clean and bright . The restaurant serves an excellent and diverse menu at a very reasonable price point . Great inside and secure bicycle storage . The best part of this excellent hotel restaurant is the staff . The reception was very friendly and helpful . One of the owners , Alex Häusler , who we had the opportunity to meet and speak at length with was a great host - full of knowledge and local history and was a pleasure to speak with . His English was much better than my German . Will return to this place whenever we are in the area on one of our bicycling adventures in Bavaria ,

The hosts were the most welcoming, friendly and convivial of all the one’s we have stayed with. The breakfast was superb and the facilities were great with lovely countryside views.

Offering free Wi-Fi, this hotel is located 20 metres from the River Traun in Ruhpolding. Guests enjoy free on-site parking. This was our second time to stay here and we were not disappointed. It is the perfect location for visiting this area of Germany. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast is very good with a lot of variety. The owner is extremely helpful to recommend sights to see and places to eat. She made our meal reservations all 4 nights we were there...and each place was excellent. It was a short and easy walk into town which was nice.
