You can also easily reach both the beach and the Seoraksan park. Definitely recommend staying here if you come to Sokcho!

Very big room with everything you need, even including rice cooker. I didnt meet owner in person, but I was happy to see some fresh bread, milk and eggs as a surprise gift! The place is located a bit aside from city center but the area is quite and has a nice park with 10 minutes of walk.

We loved the location close to everything like the fish market, the island with an amazing history of North Korean people, beaches, lakes and so much more. And if that wasn’t enough to do the bus stop is less than a 3 minute walk out the door. We were surprised at how much there was to do in Sokcho. The hotel/hostel was clean and comfortable.

The guesthouse is about 8.5 km from Mulchi Beach and 12 km from the East Sea. The hostess is exceptionally accommodating. The city experienced a district-wide hot water issue and she offered me a ride to the hot spring nearby as her guest. It was not her fault and there's nothing she could do but she wanted to make sure her guests are comfortable. Breakfast usually starts at 8am but because I had an early bus to catch, she set up everything 45 minutes earlier for which I very much appreciate. When I return, I will definitely stay at Smile Resort again. As far as the bed is concerned all beds in Korea are very firm.
