Tastefully furnished in warm, relaxing colours, Groarty Manor provides 6 comfortable en suite rooms, one of which is set on the ground floor and offers disabled access and disabled bathroom facilities. The residence is within the grounds of the 200-year-old Groarty House, which boasts a sun-flooded conservatory with panoramic views across Derry and the surrounding areas. The house and setting is stunning. There were Holsteins grazing outside our window. The hosts are very thoughtful and accommodating; breakfast is plentiful; all clean and quiet. We didn’t rent a car so friends dropped us off there. Twice the host gave us rides into Derry. We took a taxi back on Saturday night. The taxi driver had no trouble finding it, and it was inexpensive.

Donegal County Museum is 34 km away and The Diamond is less than 1 km from the guest house. This an outstanding accommodation! If you have the good fortune to find an open booking, stop your search and reserve a room. Although there is no dedicated parking, if you arrive after five, you can park right in front of Georgian Townhouse or at least a few steps away in the street. Once parked, car can stay until you leave at no charge. If you arrive before 5, there is plenty of car park parking nearby. Just look at pictures on line. Townhouse is impeccably newly renovated. Eileen is an artist with a great sense of color and space. This was by far our best accommodation. It’s just a short walk into the city. Bed was REALLY comfy, shower and tub top notch. What can I say, if I could find a spot like this in every city, I might not stop traveling. Also, incredible value for money Eileen is lovely!
