An outdoorsy city ranking among the world’s most livable, Vancouver is sheltered by Vancouver Island and the Pacific Range mountains. Skirting this park is the Seawall, a popular biking trail with paths passing the Vancouver Aquarium, picnic spots and a pitch ‘n’ putt course. There are also a couple of beaches, but the best ones are along English Bay in Kitsilano.
Granville Island is just across False Creek from Yaletown and houses some quirky shops and markets. Ferries depart from here to near BC Place Stadium and home ground of the city’s football and American football teams. The legendary Vancouver Canucks ice hockey team play next door at Rogers Arena.

We could go on and on about British Columbia’s largest city and never do it justice, so why not try it for yourself? Booking.com has a fabulous range of accommodation, from hotels near Vancouver Airport in Richmond to downtown B&Bs and motels near each of its ferry ports.

Vanouver is a vibrant city and has a large amount of tourist attractions and outdoor areas to visit. Public transport is easy to use with a single ticket for Sea Bus (Ferry to north Vancouver) Trains and buses. Would recommend a day pass to use for all three at a very reasonable cost.

Vancouver is a big city with lots to do, my stay was unexpected and only 1 night but still managed to get a lot in. We took bikes from our hotel and rode around Stanley Park, it is user friendly and picturesque. If you do anything like that bring a beach towel to sit on the beach at the end in English Bay and take in the surroundings, it is a beautiful city.

I have lived in many cities across Canada, Vancouver will and has always been without hesitation the absolute best city in every way. Food, atmosphere, surrounded by water, beautiful weather. The city gives you such a chill west coast vibe, pretty great people all and all. Food culture in every corner of this gem 💎
The room was smallish but was so nice it made up for it. I have stayed at almost every hotel in downtown vancouver, the service here and how you are treated and the emmenties, free valet (paid parking but reasonable), electronic keys with your phone if you chose, eetc. the way you were treated is on par with the 4.5 and 5 star hotels. When you even thought about lifting something, or oepning a door there was osmebody there anticipating. Great place. Well managed.
We stayed 3 nights pre-cruise & really enjoyed the hotel & the great location. It's close to the Harbour so you can walk to the port. From the airport, it's an easy skytrain ride to the waterfront & then a short walk to the hotel. Everything is so walkable in the area. The staff were friendly & professional. The rooms were nice & very comfortable. The onsite restaurant was affordable & very pleasant. We will definitely return the next time we're in Vancouver
If you are looking for a nice hotel to stay in Vancouver, GEC Granville Suites is great. I wanted something nicer than a hostel but still budget-friendly. After waking downtown and passing some of the similarly-priced options I had seen online, I am glad I chose this one. It was quiet and very clean. The room itself was very nice as well. It had a mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, and television. The bed was very comfortable.
The view and location: the Waterfront area is wonderful with a relaxed vibe. There's an Urban Fare across the street where you can buy a coffee and sandwich or just go into their supermarket. Both downtown and Stanley Park are at (12-20 minutes) walking distance. Ubering to North Vancouver (best parks) wasn't too expensive and took about 25 minutes as well. Would 100% recommend to stay here.
My stay at the hotel was unexpected. Because of a medical emergency on my cruise ship we had to spend the night in Vancouver. The location was wonderful, we just walked over from Canada Place. We used the bikes and rode around Stanley Park and some parts of downtown. Enjoyed our stay immensely, the hotel was beautiful and the amenities in the room were top notch.
Great location close to everything we needed downtown. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond and made our night. Really appreciated the extra effort to ensure I had a good birthday trip. Will definitely stay here again. As someone who stays in Vancouver often and have tried many hotels I highly recommend.
Great location. We did not have breakfast we left the hotel at 4.30 AM for the airport. But we were very disappointed with the flying with Flair airlines [2 hours delay in lax and 5 hours delay in Vancouver, We receive a voucher for $10 each as a compensation for food. This was not acceptable and are requesting some refunds.
Thank you
The hotel was the best value that we found. The location was perfect for being a tourist around downtown Vancouver. The room was comfortable, and it was great having the microwave, fridge, coffee maker etc. The staff at the desk were good about providing extra tea and coffee etc as we needed, and they accommodated a later check out.
We had the opportunity to stay at one of the suites, and we were impressed. Very spacious, clean and comfortable rooms, the decor is definitely not
my style but it was bad. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful! And parking is a little bit cheaper than other hotels in downtown Vancouver. I could say it is a family-friendly hotel.
Easy walking to Gastown, Chinatown and Cruise Terminal. Very handy to the various subway lines as well. If using Canada Line from airport, it is better to exit at Vancouver/City Centre station and walk downhill to hotel than exit at Waterfront and walk up hill.
Having breakfast included was a big plus and very satisfactory.
The Sylvia is an iconic landmark in Vancouver that reminds one of its long history in the area. It is not as modern in its decor as some downtown hotels, but for us that is part of its charm. It was clean, quiet and close to wonderful English Bay. It was great to finally stay there, even for one night.
Great Location in the heart of downtown Vancouver and just 5 minutes to the waterfront station. The hotel is really beautiful with comfortable rooms stocked with a big bathroom pretty decoration and a big TV. The staff is really kind and attentive, check inn and out was quick and easy.
An excellent hotel in downtown Vancouver for those planning to visit the city center or go to a hockey match, everything is within a few minutes' walk. The rooms, however, are very spacious and extremely comfortable with equipment that exceeds expectations.
The room we stayed in had a little balcony with the most stunning view we ever had: Level 27 in direction to Stanley Park. At the same time the apartment was super central in Downtown Vancouver and the hotel has a swimming pool that was not overcrowded.
The staff here were so sweet, I originally booked a city view room, and they upgraded us to a harbour view! The happy hour at the P2B restaurant in this hotel is great and this will always be our favourite hotel whenever we stay in Downtown Vancouver!
Fine hotel right in downtown Vancouver near ferry an SkyTrain. Lots of excellent restaurants near by. Although no affiliated, on site spa was excellent.
