Nothing to like about this hotel, dirty, uncomfortable, they charged us twice the amount for an extra bed that we didn't need at all, even though we indicated that we were staying with our child and she could have slept in the twin bed while my husband and I slept in the double bed they still insisted that they had to bring the cot up. The cost of this hotel is NOT WORTH IT! We stayed our second stay at the Marriott in Cebu and it was the SAME price but for absolute luxury compared to this unclean place. I would not stay here nor would I ever recommend anyone stay there- we are currently in dispute with this hotel over the over charges- but beyond that the hotel is unclean, the sheets on our bed were used previously there was someone else's hair on them. The elevator was broken so we had to constantly wait, the carpets in the halls were filthy, like honestly we have stayed in similar cost hotels throughout Asia and this was the WORST one of all. And the final nail in the coffin was the need to check the room before we were "allowed" to check out. Like sorry what type of clientele are you dealing with that require a room check- we in fact we likely left it cleaner than when it was found. I am so sorry I rented this room and honestly this was the one big disappointment of our trip through the Philippines and Vietnam, as you can see from our other reviews we LOVED the other value places we ended up staying, but this one was a total rip off and dirty as can be!

The hotel had one of their staff drive me around the city.
The hotel had one of their staff drive me around the city. The driver wasn't familiar with the sites we visited. The hotel collected the fee but never called a tour operator. I thought I was going to get a licensed and knowledgeable guide from a tour company., but that wasn't the case. The hotel lied and provided substandard service.

It's easy to get around the city with public transport (buses, jeepneys, taxis). One thing that disappointed us was about the beaches in Mactan/Lapu-Lapu area. We saw online that there were nice blue water/white sand beaches and resorts but they have all been privatized! By hotels and resorts. You have to pay to use their beach fronts. The costs range from Php400-4,000! Some of these costs also include using the hotel's swimming pool or eating from their buffet. But still...we just wanted to spend one or two hours by the beach but didn't know we had to pay like this. We found two public beaches for free access (eg. Maribago) but they were dirty :(

The main points of Cebu (historical attractions, malls,...
The main points of Cebu (historical attractions, malls, temples etc) could all be seen in just one well-planned day. I would recommend taking 2 nights here, arriving in the afternoon and going out then utilising the one full day and leaving for your next place early in the morning (to beat traffic!)
My stay at Hop Inn Hotel Cebu City was exceptionally comfortable. The hotel's clean and modern accommodations, coupled with its convenient location, made for a pleasant experience. The staff was courteous and attentive, ensuring a smooth check-in process and addressing any inquiries promptly. Overall, I highly recommend Hop Inn Hotel Cebu City for travellers seeking a comfortable and hassle-free stay in the heart of the city.
Breakfast and all meals served in the hotel are superb. Staff is very kind and helpful. Fitness Center exceeded our expectations. The Hotel is located at a busy road, next to a small complex with pharmacy and restaurants, ATM. There is a small sidewalk. It takes about half h to reach the airport and the harbor for day trips on the boat. The Hotel features a rooftop pool and a bar with a nice sunset and view of Cebu City.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and even offered us tips on where to visit within Cebu City. Size of room was decent, with ample space to unpack. Air-conditioning was working well. My favourite was the rooftop party at night, where we had free shots every hour from 9pm to 1am, and made lots of international traveler friends, exchanging tips from our travels.
Such an excellent hotel, including amazing roof top bar with views of the city. I have enjoyed my stay very much. The service was outstanding, the staff were extremely professional and friendly. Special mention to Pherie Jun, Krizha, Jason and Vilma whom assisted me at breakfast, and provided wonderful service.
Overall, the best hotel in Cebu in my opinion.
Despite not situated in the city centre itself, you only to take a short walk about 5 minutes to city centre. This hotel had a security and keycard. Their buffet-type breakfast worthed the price. The hotel staff especially the doorman was friendly and helpful. The price of the rooms was affordable and fair enough.
This was excellent stay - super welcoming and friendly staff, nice hotel, big room, awesome rooftop pool and bar with views over the city.
Breakfast was great - even freshly cooked eggs to your order, loved it.
Walking distance to the south bus terminal/ van terminal.
The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, l would highly recommend this hotel for your next stay in cebu City the hotel is so close to all shops and the room was clean and tidy with a really comfortable bed and a beautiful pool with amazing views.
The room was a good size and very comfortable. Much better than many we've stayed in in Cebu City.
We were able to order food to be delivered to the hotel, and ate in our room, which was very convenient.
Had a very comfortable night's sleep.
The hotel was good but was deeply disappointed with fees charged for the van for cebu city tour. The guide Mr Darwin was good but the cost of the van arranged by the hotel for 2-3 hours was very high. Rest all very good.
THIS IS THE BEST HOTEL IN CEBU CITY!! very good breakfast unlimited drinks and VERY GOOD ONLY 1180 PHP PER DAY VERY GOOD WIFI DONT BOOK JY BOOKING JUST CALL THEN OR JUST ARRIVE IN AND PAY 1180 2 PERONS WITH BREAKFAST
Love the breakfast! I get to eat danggit and dried squid only in this hotel. Staff are friendly and the best part is my room was upgraded to a suite! Great hotel to stay in and near Ayala Mall as well.
The staff were excellent and upgraded us when the room we were initially assigned to had issues. It was good value for the money. Hotel isn’t too far from city centre.
