Room was lovely but TV aerial was dodgy so bad picture, had to keep adjusting it. Heated towel rail didn't work.
Stairs to room were too steep for older people. Felt very unsafe on them.

Location - a short stroll to picturesque tidal moorings & scenic, well maintained coastal walks.
Staff - friendly, competent & obliging.
Food - fair choice & value, imaginative & well presented. Well done chef.

Breakfast was good, sad that the chef didn’t bake the bread for breakfast where the dinner bread was outstanding
Dinner was overpriced I had 3 small pieces of asparagus for starters and was charged £12. My lamb was raw and had to go back to be cooked.
The room was very nice no problems.

The pub is in Burnham Overy Staithe, on the salt marshes near the harbour, lovely for walking and relaxing. The Hero pub is so cosy, with fire in the winter, outside tables with harbour views in dry weather. Lovely blankets provided. Everything is very geared to the visitor and their doggy friends. Burnham Market town is 3 miles away lots of lovely individual shops.

Not a large central village area but some nice shops cafes and it is a very picturesque English countryside location. Everything is within easy walking distance. Some shops are on the expensive side. We ate mostly at our Hotel The Hoste which was very nice. The other resturants look good too. Lovely place to visit, quintessentially British.

Very pretty village with some interesting shops - definitely the place to go if you need a hat! But a bit short on places to eat early in the week, it's pretty much closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

A picturesque village with some independent shops and cafes.
A picturesque village with some independent shops and cafes. We have often stopped here while in North Norfolk, for an ice cream, coffee or food as well as a stroll around the pretty Green. It’s an ideal base for the area but it does have a ‘cache’ which can mean it’s expensive to stay here

Lovely place to visit/stay.
Lovely place to visit/stay. Has some interesting shops and restaurants but would advise booking restaurants beforehand as we couldn’t get booked for any of the ones we wanted. Been coming to this part of Norfolk since 1990 and Burnham Market probably our favourite place. It’s a lot busier now than it used to be and a lot pricier; but well worth it!
we took along our very nervous dog and the staff were so kind and seated us in a quiet corner. they were so understanding and made our stay very enjoyable. they went above and beyond to facilitate us. the food was lovely, our room was warm and comfortable. The Hero’s location was perfect for exploring North Norfolk with Holkham Beach nearby, Wells next the sea, and National Trust Felbrigg Estate and Burnham Market. we intend to stay again in early December.
Lovely home in Burnham market, the room (double room with en-suite including shower) was very nice- clean and spacious with coffee/tea facilities too. Good breakfast was also provided in the kitchen.
Fiona is lovely and friendly, making sure we were all happy with our rooms when we checked in. Thank you Fiona!!!
The village itself is great with nice pubs/ restaurants and a few shops, also a great base for exploring other areas of Norfolk.
We stayed here as we have friends who live close by in Burnham market & the cottage location was perfect.. the cottage itself was very clean & we had a lovely welcome food basket .. although we weren’t in most of the time it made a perfect base
The cottage was lovely. It did day it was suitable for 4, but I would say it's better for 2, maybe not 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Burnham Market is a real picture postcard village and close to beautiful beaches and Bircham Windmill.
Comfortable and characterful house. Charming and welcoming host. Very comfortable bed and excellent shower room.
Very good value for money. Well located in Burnham Market.
perfect room, fantastic terrace, breakfast was very good. staff very attentive. Have stayed at The Hoste many times and it is always very comfortable and relaxing.
Lovely big clean room, warm, with complimentary tea and coffee and breakfast included too - very good value for Burnham Market! Will most definately be returning!
