I’m hoping to get a refund as we didn’t even stay the night, false advertising, bar was shut, no humans to talk too, ghost town at 7.15pm at night!, towels in the room had mold on them 🙈, I’ve stayed in hundreds of places but this is the very worst, room opposite were filming a xxx film, guy walking around the hallway with a hammer , like a scene 🎬 out of a horror movie
Reminded me of out-patients at the hospital, all the guests walking around in flip flops & socks with no brain 🧠 cells, like a zombie movie
I really hope they can improve on the place
PS
the first time in my life I have ever left a review…

I am from Bolton, but live overseas. Love the town hall area, but the shops I used to know are not there anymore. Sad to say many major shops gone.
Queen's Park is a lovely place to feed the birds and the squirrels at the pond area. Bought wild bird food from Poundland.
Barrow Bridge and Moss Bank Park also very pleasant to walk through on a sunny day.
The museum is a pleasant and interesting place with a souvenir shop too. Why they had to move the library out of the same building is a mystery to me. Buses usually on time and available during the week and Saturdays.
Good self service laundrettes available which proved helpful when running out of clothes.

It was quite no noise some of the staff need training again with manners to guest, also the girls/lads who clean rooms should be able to acknowledge guest to see if they need anything instead of turning away from them. Other than that nice stay would be nice to speak to staff while staying their communication goes a long way. When been to other hotel spoke to staff had laughs with them.

I visited three venues Cheetham Arms, The Spead Eagle and The Last Drop. Also brunch at Bakers, Edgerton. All had excellent customer service and food in welcoming decorated atmosphere.
Visited Middle Brook shopping centre. An impressive range of retailers.
Travelled as passenger in relatives car. Traffic fairly busy but no hold ups. Would be confident enough to drive solo.
Its in an excellant location, close to the West Pennine Moors. Atmosphere has a lovely friendly local village feel. Plenty of parking and food fantastic. Victoria, pub manager was welcoming and even waited up late for us to arrive last year when we travelled up from London in the evening. We explained we had been caught in traffic and she was lovely about it. Nik even handed out yellow tulips to ladies on Mothers Day. This was the purpose of our visit. To spend Mothers day with my son who lives in Bolton.
The place is spacious. The beds were very, very comfortable. The place has so many things to offer that hotel would never offer. Wash machine, all the necessary dishes and utensils. The dishes are nice, and you will have every kitchen tool that you need, including the bottle opener. There are TVs in every room. The host was very responsive. The location is good, it offers about a 20 minutes walk to the city center but there are some food and grocery store options on the same block.
The room was spotless. Unfortunately, I was unable to book breakfast - that was advertised on the site - and they said it was because of covid. I'm afraid that isn't correct, as we know other hotels serve breakfast. Looking at the hotel outside, my stomach sunk - it could REALLY do with a paint/spruce up. The bed wasn't great, but I slept as I was so tired. A spruce up of the outside and some new mattresses, and this hotel would lift it's grading.
We booked in as we were visiting family, the room was on the top floor and was so hot, the shower leaked all over the floor, sink cracked. Did try to upgrade but was told it was full
Opening the windows we were kept awake most nights by the noise of the air conditioning over the hotel
Such a shame as I had Always wanted to stay at this hotel
The location is terrific, with lots of walks from the doorstep. The spa facilities were very nicely kept. The layout of the whole hotel was quirky, with the old buildings and new blending together. The little green spaces between the buildings were all available for guests to use for relaxation. The dog got a warm welcome too.
I like the room where did I stay .the staff is very friendly. Kitchen is nice and I love the property was non smoking place. The staff care guest very well . In my personal view it is good place for stay a night when u visit Bolton . Near train station .available bus and near town centre

How friendly and welcoming the staff are.
The location to get to the town centre.
The convenience of the hotel to the motorway network and local public transportation.
Great value for money and the food is excellent.
I like the room outside because it was near to the entrance of the hotel. It just needs updating. Apart from that everything else in the hotel was lovely. Breakfast was nice and the evening we had was nice
The hotel was clean comfortable and catered for all our needs.
Sharon at reception was exceptional no matter the circumstances she went above and beyond to make our stay the best possible.
Novelty value of staying in a football stadium, even if it was Bolton. Friendly staff, clean room, decent value for money. Lively hotel with lots going on, I’ll come again
