The city is small but very elegant.
The city is small but very elegant. The main attraction are the baths, which are part of a UNESCO World Heritage transnational site. It is recommended to visit during the spring season as the beautiful riverside parks will be at the height of their beauty, but the Christmas market is also drawing lots of interest.
The city centre is realtively small, with the main shops in the lower area and the historic section with lots of scenic views on the hill overlooking the river Oos and the baths area. Excellent public transport is available for trips to nearby locations.
Special mention for the Frieder Burda museum.

The town is very relaxing and offers hiking, biking, sightseeing and of course the spa and casino. We took a free tour of the casino, which was informative and not too long, 45min. The spa is a must otherwise why go to Baden-Baden! There are two options, and they are completely different in what they offer so best to read up on them. If you want any treatments book early as they go fast on weekends. There area is beautiful and there are a lot of walking/hiking/biking opportunities to enjoy so plan on getting out from the downtown and head up into the forest. The Black Forest is less than an hour away for any day trips as well as Strasbourg. Train service is an option.

We used Baden Baden as a base of operations for seeing areas further north along the Rhine and further east in the Black Forest, and it's a charming town though of course very much an upscale shopping mecca (which is not really our thing). Now that I've seen the town I'm realizing we could well have stayed an extra night and seen some additional historic castles and other sites, and I for one (though not my husband) would have enjoyed a day at the spa!
Excellent service. The lady who checked us in was very gracious,. She spoke almost perfect Spanish ( was not necessary but greatly appreciated), was very accommodating with a bit of earlier check in and baggage storage before and after checking in and out. She helped us with train information as well.
The room was great, ample, clean and value for money. The hotel is in top location, just on the corner of the spa, which the hotel gave us a complimentary hour each.
The room is super nice, comfortable and clean. Very spacious. The hotel decor is really nice. Parking available with the accomodation if you are with a car. 10 minutes away from Baden Baden city center.
Breakfast was amazing, the restaurant really nice and the variety offered during breakfast and setup was exceptional.
The stuff is really welcoming and they speak English. We did self check in but everything was very well explained.
An extremely good quality City centre hotel right in the heart of Baden-Baden and within easy walking distance from everything. Room was a good size, bed very comfortable and the whole hotel has a sense of style without being flouncy and in your face about it. The breakfast buffet is superb, both as to choice and quality. Excellent car park under cover and with a locked gate and entry straight into the hotel. Thoroughly recommended.
Lovely hotel with bright rooms that are well laid out with thoughtful details. There’s a fan for the warmer summer months that cooled the space to a pleasant sleeping temperature. Staff were friendly and helpful (despite my lack of German) and breakfast was fabulous with great coffee and the option of freshly cooked hot options and a robust continental breakfast. It’s a great location that’s quiet but close to everything.
An old hotel but very neat and clean, with spacious room and useful amenities like kettle, bottles water, bath gel, etc. It also have a lift which makes you feel so good after staying in many old hotels or apartments in Germany where you have to walk the stairs without a lift! Breakfast is also plentiful and delicious! Great location in the center with parking on site which is very convenient.
Hotel was in a great location, an easy walk to town but also in a quiet neighborhood, we loved the peace and quiet of the park area outside our balcony. Room was very clean and spacious. Bathrooms were in great working order. Balcony was wonderful, and we loved the bottle of water in the room after checking in on a hot summer day. Loved the easy access to the parking lot and garage.
Very friendly and attentive staff. They always seemed to go an extra step to make sure you feel comfortable and looked after. Nice breakfast - could choose your hot meal. The hotel is situated by a small river, a walking distance to beautiful Geroldsauer waterfall. A bit outside of Baden-Baden - better to have a car here.
The room was clean. The hotel is in the city centre of Baden-Baden and in front of Caracalla and Friederischbad. The hotel offer a discount on the nearby spa. It is surrounded by many restaurants, and close to bus stops to reach the train station. Breakfast is good, ok-ish.
This hotel was so close to the two famous spas and the bedroom was super comfortable and loved that the huge TV could be manoeuvred so you could watch it comfortably in bed. And loved the little extra inclusions like tea.
Slept really well the night I stayed here!
Baden Baden is stunning and the hotel was exceptionally clean, the staff were helpful and friendly and the room large
Car parking was free but given the high temperature we opted for cool garage to keep wine cool - this was an additional charge but worth it
This hotel has a very good central location. You could easily reach different restaurants and shops.
Rooms pros: relatively clean, spacious, and bright. Although we had a pleasant stay overall, there were a few areas where we felt improvements could be made.
There was an excellent selection of fresh foods at breakfast. The room was modern and very clean. The hotel was in a perfect location. The spa and wellness area were especially good. Hotel personnel were very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.
The perfectly located hotel with the most wonderful hosts. Easy to find, close parking available, within view of both of the spas and all of the good food. Breakfast was perfect and hearty. It even has Air Conditioning! I will be back, thank you!
