You cannot beat the location of this hotel. The view is its selling point and the lobby and lounge take full advantage. The hotel is easy distance from the National Park entrance, the Town of Waterton and trail heads. The staff were mostly young people clearly on student work visas and could not have been more pleasant.

It was our spontaneous trip to Waterton Lakes for this weekend. Unfortunately , there was no hotels with adequate price in Wateron but lucky for us we've found this awesome place.
We've had a suite for 2 nights with breakfast included. Suite was decent size with everything what you need. Also, you can enjoy the scenic ride from hotel to Waterton and it was only 20 mins.
I've read a lot of positive comments about the breakfast that was included in our stay, and I'm going to say - they're all true. Breakfast was amazing.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and if ever decide to go again to Waterton - Bear Country Inn and Suites will be our first choice.
Thank you, Stephanie and Bear Country Inn and Suites team!

Sadly it rained for two days last day beautiful. You still do things in the rain.
Bison Paddock Loop, waterfall in Waterton you can walk to it, the boat ride on a sunny day and road trip out to Red Rock Canyon.
Trappers is a friendly and good place to eat. Breakfast at Kilmrey was expensive but sooo worth it.

What was shocking was the totally burnt out areas on the mountains surrounding and in the park. However, we could see new young growth emerging......so eventually in years to come, these trees will replace the burnt out ones.

Village area is small and was fairly quiet during our end of season visit. There are two main roads to explore in park and a number of hiking trails. Wilderness areas are still showing effects of major fires a few years ago. Several good restaurants in village area.

Without even going hiking we saw tons of wildlife straight from the car! Out of our very quick Canadian Rockies and Glacier national park trip, this is where I want to come back first. It's quiet and understated and beautiful. Give it a shot! (Saw elk, bear, fox, big horn sheep, bald eagle in just a few hours.)

EVERYTHING is extremely overpriced.
EVERYTHING is extremely overpriced. I do admit that the beef tenderloin dinner at the Royal Stewart Dining Room in the Prince of Wales hotel was exceptional and worth the price - the downside is that the Prince of Wales charges for parking even for guests!

Did the Crypt Lake hike (20K in/out), our 7 yr old made it too. Boat crew was good. The Park is nice because it gives the National Park experience with a lot tod, but smaller and not as crowded. Prices can be a little high, but likely due to location (ship in costs for supplies/amenities).
Fantastic location. The place is near to the highway to Waterton, but secluded. The place is perfectly serene -- absolutely no noise or light at night. The place is situated near ranches and seeing the north peaks of Waterton -- the scenery is incredibly beautiful. The communal space in the Unit C is spacious, and each bedroom is as big as any good hotels. The place was clean and well maintained. Amenities in the house are thoughtfully arranged. The place also have a small woods to make a campfire.
It was easy to book on booking.com, the check in went smoothly, except for the manager barging in like a customer and demanding the clerks attention, then going behind the desk and doing it herself, making me feel unwelcome. Central location, reasonable price and close to all amenities. The partnership with Kilmorey seems helpful, nice restaurant across the street.
This is basically a renovated motel. We paid $400 for the night, which was the cheapest in the town, but I don't think the hotel was worth that. The front desk staff was good but the coffee shop staff refused to fill out water bottles, while Beaver tails had no issue helping us with that. For such basic service and appointments, it was not worth the cost.
Great location! Central to everything in Waterton and close to the lake. We stayed in a cottage, so we had some green space in front, a ground level entrance, a picnic table and some Adirondack chairs. Access to a central BBQ.
Room was clean and spacious.
We had a room on the main floor with a door to the patio and out to the lakeshore, great to watch the sunrise and evening glow on the lake. Room was equipped with everything down to bathrobes. Had a great stay including a very tasty meal at the restaurant.
Waterton is one of my favourite places in the world, however the quality of accommodation has always been quite awful and in desperate need of some renovations. I am extremely happy to report, finally a hotel has done this. It was expensive, but worth it.
I liked how central the location was to everything, as well as having the main area of waterton parks right behind. Easy access to everything and enjoyed the fact that I could park right by my room so I didn’t need to drag luggage extensively.
The size of the toiletries were great. The room was very clean, modern and well stocked, there was even enough sugar and whitenener for our coffee which is rare for a hotel. The coffee was excellent, again rare! The tub was deep and comfy.
The hotel is decorated beautifully and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. It only opened three weeks earlier after a full renovation so everything was spotless. The staff were excellent.
The hotel was in a great location, walking distance to restaurants and shops and right by the lake. The rooms had balconies, had a few choices of restaurants, rooms were a good size.
Great location, nice and clean hotel with everything you need (and some)walking distance … lots of great hiking and wild life .
Front desk staff very nice and helpful
A very nice hotel in a good location in the town. The room was very comfortable with good amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was clean and tidy.
