The Fisherman's Wharf was interesting with the nicely decorated houses people live in and the lovely hot donuts we ate there. We enjoyed walking around the downtown, having lunch at the Irish Times, walking through the Empress Hotel, and taking a water taxi to Milestones for our dinner. I wish that I could have visited longer and see Emily Carr's house but it was closed at the time. Victoria is a lovely city and James Bay Village is quaint and my favourite place to walk.

Don't miss Butchart Gardesn, Fisherman's warf and the parliament building at night. we had two dogs so meals at fishermans warf were the best and most accomodating. Quiet room. I just wanted somewhere to sleep and explore Victoria, so I found the place just right. It is on Douglas Street, a main one into downtown Victoria. I could walk to the main seafront in about 20 minutes, or catch one of the many buses. an all day bus ticket is five dollars. The room itself was roomy - two double beds and plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space. Comfortable bed, microwave and coffeemaker. And The Castello cafe next door does a wide choice of breakfasts!
