Tamworth is a small city with tens of thousands people.
Tamworth is a small city with tens of thousands people. There are almost supermarkets and shops as a large city has. The city contains all entertainment functions, a nice cinema, arts galleys, and country style of activities, including annual International Country Music Festival and horse ricing. But the living costs are lower and more green space. The train goes to Sydney and vice versa daily. A airport for public to flight nationwide.

Shopping is good, however the parking in the Main Street was terrible. Cars parked over lines taking up 2 spots, main travelling a very slow pace just is case someone might be moving out and they can get a car park, this then causes traffic jams with cars lined up for 2 blocks, And being caught over intersections when lights change.
Sport complex (hockey fields) amazing, was a great place to see, such a pity other towns don’t have similar complexes.

Just passed through and stayed overnight would have liked to stay longer to view more of the area.
When on the lookout excellent view with a lovely sunny day and blue sky and, a nice cool breeze, this lookout had some picnic tables available with walking trails maybe next time.
Enjoyed the Saturday markets while we were there, interesting from locally made products to homemade cakes etc.
Don't forget to drop into the Big Golden Guitar information centre the staff were friendly and helpful we also picked up a board game of Tamworth Monopoly, which you can only get here, why not we don't have this exclusive limited edition $30.00 bargain.

As we visit Tamworth annually to play darts, we mostly see the inside of the club where the tournament is held. The town is very quaint and it's a really country and western town. Tamworth has some nice parks and walking tracks which are great.
Nice restaurants are situated in the town and its great to be able to sit a look at the people passing by

The only good thing to come out of Tamworth is any road leading away! The one good thing is the Dragon Palace restaurant. It's very good that's why it's busy. What has happened to the motels? We were booked at
Tamworth Lodge Motel which we couldn't stay at, it's filthy! Then we went to the Town and Country Motor Inn and the pillows smelled of sweat. Hungry Jacks gets a serve for failing to do there job too.
We stayed at McNevin's Tamworth for one night. We loved that the motel was located out of town. There was plenty of parking spaces and a service station just across the road. The owner was very friendly and helpful in settling us in and also recommended a great place to get a meal (the Nemingha Tavern, just down the road). The room had a king bed, was spacious, spotless and so quiet! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend McNevin's Tamworth to other travellers!
Staff called the morning of checkin to let us know our room number and that room was ready as it was Easter weekend Great location, the beds were soft but comfortable, and we all slept well, facilities clean, very quiet even though its on the main road and hotel was almost full
We loved everything about this property. It is clean, spacious with character. The breakfast items were very much appreciated. It is walking distance to the shops and close to a lovely park.
It is worth coming to Tamworth just to stay in this beautiful house.
Very well appointed, modern and spacious studio cottages.
Great sense of privacy.
Very clean and everything was obviously well thought out.
I was staying for an event at the nearby Tamworth Regional Entertainment centre, but would love to return with my wife.
Rooms are very nice with a really comfortable king size bed. Awesome Asian restaurant attached to the property. You also get a great cooked or light breakfast included. Great value for money and the staff are wonderful. Highly recommend this motel
I needed an intermediate stopover on a country trip. Tamworth was a logical break point and Motel 359 was an economic selection for a Motel. Access was easy. Other services were not needed. I left before daylight in the morning.
It was very clean and tidy and the staff professional and friendly. The beer garden was lovely and the meals very good value. The hotel in itself had an old world charm which was quite inviting.
Very clean, comfortable motel. The bed was extremely comfortable! Friendly staff, very welcoming and helpful. We had everything we needed for our stay. Great value for money.
Lovely hotel. Close to the centre of town. Great food in the restaurant. We had a fabulous time. Highly recommend a visit to Tamworth as a weekend getaway.
