The property smelled really bad, with a moldy odor everywhere. During the night, we had a visit from a rat in our kitchen, which came through a hole in the air conditioner. I reported it to the reception, but they did nothing. My money was totally wasted, and no refund was offered or made.

House is beautifully decorated though my teenagers were a bit scared to see the paintings on the walls. The kitchen is nice with basic amenities like cooking oil, salt and pepper, spices provided. Good electric grill available for use, though it can be better with some clean up. Nice yard with fireplace, but need to buy wood and starters to DIY. Property provided initial starter set but can’t do much in setting up a fire. We were so cold when entering the property late at night. Good that the property left the lights on, would be better if they had also turned on the heating. The floor was super cold, thankfully we brought slippers.

Furthest mountain location from Sydney, so a longer journey, but quieter when you get there. Lots of picturesque view points that are easy to get to. Having your own car will be the best way to see Mount Victoria. Not many restaurants or cafes nearby, so either cook at home or be prepared to drive back to Blackheath, Leura or Katoomba for wider restaurant choice. Great location,value for money wonderful breakfast included. Fantastic restaurant ate there both nights as the food and service of staff was excellent. Comfortable beds . It was like steeping back in time amazing decor very well designed.

Mt Victoria is an unusual destination, not much there apart from the wonderful Victoria and Albert and a few small shops. Lot of buildings are closed or in process of restoration. It is right on the Great Western Highway, so easy to get to. Very close to some my favourite parts of the Mountains, Mt York, Blackheath, Hartley and Little Hartley, etc.MichaelAustralia - 10Scored 10

We came on a public holiday weekend so didn't get to see much. We went to RoseyRavelston bookstore experience and had a blast! Driving around Mt Victoria is easy and I highly recommend it for a quick and quiet getaway. There are tonnes of shops nearby in Leura and plenty of local cafes.

Tranquil, clean environment and what a surprise to find a vegan cafe/restaurant in the area 'Moon To Moon Cafe' which I can recommend ever so highly and I'm a *non* vegan. Just that venue and *my* stay at 'Hotel Etico' truly warrant a return.

Within minutes of us discussing this problem the matter was resolved and we were moved to another room. The hotel was in a quiet location and gave us easy access to the places we wanted to visit. Efficient warming facilities in a very old building. Delightful breakfast, supervised by Natasha, included in the tariff. We love that we can always get hot water, cold water, tea and milk in the dining area. It is even more convenient than in a 5-star hotel that you need to boil water yourself. 3. Very considerate - my wife said this. I didn’t realize at all. The electric blankets are intentionally bought as 2 separate ones because one may want to switch on while the other may not.
