On Sunday I got a text from Condor stating Monday's boat was cancelled due to weather. At the time I was at the Premier Inn - and after enquiring and finding out they wanted another £100 for 1 night, I checked booking.com for availability elsewhere - and this popped up for £38 a night. I worked on the road in the UK and have stayed at A LOT of hotels and BnB's in my time - so was only really after a place to put my head down. Genuinely - probably the best £38 I've ever spent. Colin is an absolute delight and will happily ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. The rooms are very clean, with TV's, a kettle, fridge and microwave. Proximity to a local Waitrose, pub and a great fish and shop is perfect AND breakfast was included! Two whole kippers, a jug of coffee, toast and marmalade! Honestly - there's a reason this place comes so highly reviewed. Will happily be stranded in Guernsey again if I get to stay here!

The apartment was spotlessly clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The beds and bedding were so comfortable, and everything we needed was there for us. There were even lovely touches such as a loaf of local raisin bread and a bunch of fresh local flowers that made me smile. The lodge is in lovely gardens and I really appreciated the trees, birdsong and flowers just outside the windows. It is an easy, pleasant walk into the heart of St Peter Port and the harbour, so Ilex Lodge is in a fantastic location, close to town, but quiet and peaceful. The three of us arrived exhausted and desperately in need of a holiday, and left rejuvenated and recovered. It was exactly the holiday we needed. Thank you so much.

Just a 6-minute drive to the town of St Peter Port, and walking distance to Guernsey’s south-coast bays and cliffs, The Ellingham Cottages has 12 two and three-bedroom holiday cottages. They all feature free Wi-Fi, on-site parking, a large shared garden and laundry facilities. Close to the beauty spots in the south of the island. Cottages were clean and comfortable. Cottages were very quiet.

The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and responsive. Great location. Quiet but close to everything.

Breakfast was outstanding. Staff were outstanding and so helpful. Location was listed near town, but it was far from town. It was, however, near the beautiful Cobo Bay, with the most beautiful sunsets.

Located around 1.1 km from Moulin Huet Beach, the inn with free WiFi is also 2 km away from Petit Port Beach. The property is non-smoking and is set 1.1 km from Saint's Bay Beach. Everything at The Captains was first class a warm friendly welcome spacious very comfortable room with walk in shower and a great breakfast with everything from fresh fruit bowl muesli yoghurts fresh juices followed by a grand selection of cooked breakfasts including full English and even scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. I loved the location within easy walking distance to the beaches and if needed a bus stop just outside the door to whisk you off to the delights of the capitol or back to the airport.I had a lovely time here it was exceptionally good value and I can heartily recommend The Captains for anybody looking for some good old fashioned friendly hospitality . The property features pool and garden views, and is 2.5 km from Vazon Beach. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The most comfortable beds we have ever slept in whilst away, the linen was pure cotton white, crisp clean and so comfortable. The apartment was spotless, the towels are soft. We didn’t use the oven but it was spotlessly clean. Everything was perfect and very comfortable.
