Mairi was an amazing host. Nothing was ever too difficult. She and her husband used to be chefs and they cooked us an amazing dinner on the night of our stay. Hot breakfast was delicious and we especially enjoyed the croissants that they baked each morning. View from our room was so lovely, we found it hard to leave.

Beautifully finished and well-equipped cabin on the shore looking out at Raasay. Perfect for our needs for a four-day stay, great location for trips to other parts of Skye, going to Raasay, and walking in the Cuillins. Close to a road but still quiet and peaceful.

The Distillery is a great option to stay while visiting the Highlands and going up north. It's a top choice to feel and breathe the nature while enjoying a very comfortable evening. It is a good idea to bring the car into the island if you can spare the time to tour around - just beware that you have to fit your schedule to the ferry timetables and it can be tricky on Sundays. Regarding meal options, also note that there could be no other options apart from the hotel ( we were here mid-May).

The location, walking, scenery is fantastic, distillery tour is interesting and whisky tasting is informative. Staff are friendly and informative.
The downstairs room (6) requires work, has no openable windows, no AC and has forced air ventilation which is noisy and can’t be switched off. Basin is set far too low for use and there is no hot water in the basin. No place to unpack clothes so if staying longer than one night, have to live out of your suitcase

Fab location, accommodation.
Fab location, accommodation. You need to make sure to plan your trip around the ferry times or you will not make it to the island. Great for all sorts of activities on the water and on the land. We biked it and although it was taxing (ver hilly) the views and wildlife spotting make it so worthwhile. We saw two golden eagles for example. 👍

We only stayed 1 night. We have arrived with the last ferry. After checking in, we had a drive on the island end-to-end. Spectacular and very beautiful (wild).
We didn't had dinner or breakfast (we left with the first ferry), so I can't speak for the food.

Raasay is like a rougher round the edges version of Skye.
Raasay is like a rougher round the edges version of Skye. Definitely more to explore than just the distillery. Some beautiful, but pretty hard going, walks / hikes with amazing views and hidden gems...like the tiny cave on the walk to Fladday. Get a good map and strong boots and enjoy.

Intended as a stop over before our ferry from Uig to Lochmaddy the following day, our short visit to Raasay House got our holiday off to a great start.
The friendly staff were very accommodating of a family travelling with a large dog! Everything about Raasay House had us wishing we had booked to stay for longer.
The 20 minute ferry crossing from Skye is well worth the spectacular views of the Cuillins of Skye from the lawn in front of the hotel and from the bar where we ate in the evening and the brasserie where we were served a delicious breakfast.
We LOVED it here! Such a gem! Fantastic facilities and rooms with great amenities. It’s a super special hotel as you’re not only staying at the distillery but there are only six rooms (currently). So it’s a wonderfully quiet/restful stay on a peaceful island…with whiskey! Also, pretty sure the chef is secretly Master Michelin chef. As most people leave the island on the last ferry, there was only us, the locals, and the Raasay crew at the bar-and talking to the people who stayed was a special memory for us. We’ll be back.
This hotel and area was our favorite part of our visit to Scotland! Raasay is a very nice small island with a wonderful view of Skye. We enjoyed the 5min walk to the distillery next door. They have a garden in the back open to guests and picked the best and sweetest strawberries and raspberries right off the vine. We did the bike hire and was nice exploring the island. The front yard boasts a wonderful view while sipping a coffee in the morning or a cocktail in the evening.
A last minute decision when accommodations on Skye were unavailable. Great decision! The stay included a free tour of the distillery. We also booked dinner on site and it was delicious. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Lovely pastoral setting and water views. Our room looked newly decorated, clean and fresh, very comfortable. Breakfast was also quite tasty — cooked to order. Not suitable for guests with mobility issues.
Hotel is modern, new and beautifully decorated. The staff was very nice. I was impressed with the dinner because it was a fixed 6 meal course and all the dishes were worthy of a fine dining experience. They also gave me a tour to the distillery and explained the whiskey process. The tour is free/included with the stay.
I really loved my stay in this hotel.
Honestly Raasay House was a highlight of our entire 2 weeks in Scotland. The kitchen garden space was beautiful, the island was just gorgeous, and the service at Raasay House was perfect. The food was much much better than I expected. My thanks to the chef! We visited in early May before the crowds and it was out of this world. A true hidden treasure.
The place and the hotel were really beautiful! (And easy to access!) A little secret jewellery! And what a calm! We were warmly welcomed, the owners know how to receive for our greatest pleasure! The room was beautiful and spacious, the bed was very large and comfortable, and the view was breathtaking! What a happy moment!
Fantastic place it was one
of the best decisions I made on my trip to Scotland was going to the Isle of Raasay and stay in one of the most beautiful place there. Stunning views all around, really peaceful place.Amazing hospitality and friendly staff, excellent food.
This hotel stay was far above my expectations.
The room was immaculate, the views were stunning and it’s by far and away the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Also the staff were so friendly and as it’s owned by the island community I hope the business flourishes.
Everything was perfect , the location ,view from our room was breathtaking, lovely to meet the director Lynn who was extremely hospitable and friendly , will definitely cexcepone back on my next trip to Scotland to try the water sports and adventure .
Isle of Raasay Distillery is situated conveniently close to the Ferry Terminal and within walking distance to the Raasay Hotel for dinner. Decor was Scandi/Scot trendy with fabulous attention to detail. Exceptional views across the water to Skye.
The location, surrounding and the view was excellent.
Wish we had more time to explore the island .
They have a most amazing library and collection of books and ornaments inside the mansion.
And the playroom was good entertainment
A small little place on this planet which was overwhelming and outstanding! What a magnificent hotel and distillery to stay in. Very welcoming staff and the whiskey tasting very enjoyable and relaxing. Breakfast was 5 star!!!
Amazing location with the best views of Skye. Great plan for a weekend getaway. Restaurant inside the distillery makes for the perfect pairing for a lovely dinner after a day off hiking and learning about Raasay whisky.
The hotel is magnificent, beautiful architecture, amazing grounds, cozy indoors such as the bar or the library. The breakfast even if simple, was tasty and fresh. Dinner was really good and the service excellent.
This is a unique hotel stay, as it is the only hotel on a small island. I cannot speak highly enough of our experience from our room, to the staff, the location and scenery - it was all outstanding.
Everything! Beautiful island, stunning hotel, views to die for and a unique opportunity to stay in a Distillery doing great things. Felt like I'd discovered a gem, I'll be back as soon as I can!
Amazing views, wonderful staff. Hotel was newly remodeled and very clean. We loved the distillery tour that was included with our stay. Food was exceptional!
