Don't be mislead by the appearance the old building is a bit tired on the outside but the rooms were lovely bright and clean. The owners are a lovely welcoming couple with plenty of local knowledge.

It was a really good property. Ample parking space, clean , cozy and spacious living area on the ground floor with a good kitchen. Great location. Overall very good.

This hotel is a local hidden gem in Snowdonia, I would fully recommend visiting when in the local area. Mike and Carrie are superb hosts, fully accommodating and their journey is amazing. The Gorge down the river is truly magical and worth the walk. Rooms are spacious and having a full suite is even better with all new facilities. looking forward to the summer and seeing the progress on the rear of the building. fully deserved rating and will be visiting again.

Highly recommend staying here.
Highly recommend staying here.
Staff were very helpful - we had to check-in to our room late and they were very accommodating in arranging this for us. The room was ideal for our needs - 4 of us. Bathrooms were shared - these were lovely, very modern. There was also a sink in our room. Bedsheets/linen provided. The place was very clean. There was a shared kitchen and lounge area, which was very comfy, with a variety of games and books. Ample, free, parking on the property. We stayed here prior to climbing Snowdon and the location was great for this - only a short drive away. Exceptionally good, especially for the price!

The location set in the most peaceful and beautiful landscape. Fabulous style hostel ideal for walkers on a stop over or for those travelling to other destinations by car where there is plenty of parking space in the hostel grounds. Clean and comfortable throughout with a shared kitchen and common room. Roughly 15-20 minutes walk from Ponty- Pant rail station..

No hot water in my dad's bedroom. No heating or wifi. Beds were dirty. Cudnt cook food there.

Mike and Carrie are so welcoming!
We stayed here as a family of five plus our dog.
Lovely, clean and comfortable. Couldn’t have asked for more, there was a lovely welcome tray and dog towels provided etc and these little touches and attention to detail makes you feel as though they love having you stay as much as we loved staying xx
The scenery and walks are just amazing! Such an adventure.
In the village just 2 miles away was a family/dog friendly pub.
A real good base to also explore further afield for North East Wales.
The photos really do not do this property any justice. The cottage is stunning and is located in a beautiful area. The owners were always on hand for everything and made us feel very welcome. We will be back! We were there during a storm which caused a powercut for the whole area, and we were offered extra wood for the stove, food, drinks, blankets, etc, and kept updated with what was happening.
The well equipped and comfortable cottage was in a beautiful location. There were good walks available from the door and it was ideally situated to explore the surrounding areas. Snowdonia, Anglesey, Llangollen, Llandudno and Portmeirion all within easy reach. Lots of restaurants in nearby Betws-Y-Coed.
Location was just perfect for visiting the local attractions such as Mount Snowden and the slate mines. Beds were exceptionally comfortable and the rooms were really clean and comfortable. The showers and loo were better than some 5 star hotels we have stayed in. For a hostel this was way above average.
- Great location in the heart of Wales, close to some lovely Welsh villages and Snowdonia.
- Great breakfast that left you full, including vegetarian options.
- Comfy bed and room with a view
- Has everything you need with working WiFi and hot water.
it’s in a good location and the rooms was very clean and tidy. There was coffe and tea in the rome, some fruit, chocolate and even gummy bears. Amazing host, very friendy. Breakfast was super nice and tasty.
Big parking next to hotel and nice area.
Location was great, beautiful scenery, driving distance to a range of activities in Snowdonia & walking distance to shop and local pub. Plenty of parking and privacy. Cottage was clean and cozy. Host was super friendly. 10/10. Loved it.
It was a wonderful quaint, country hotel with a warm welcome and we were pleased with breakfast and the general
ambience of the hotel. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it as a venue to explore Snowdonia.
It had everything to make it a home from home and the hosts even provided bread & milk on arrival. Ty Nain was comfortable, warm and in a good location to explore all round Snowdonia and North Wales.
this property was excellent. location good, close to zip world, Betws-y-coed, coast. pubs in village(we didn’t eat out though) well equipped kitchen, loads of board games provided, spare towels.
Location perfect, near to Bedgelert and in the heart of Snowdonia. Love and tranquil. We thought it was a good all rounder, value for money and ideal for groups making the most of the outdoors.
Excellent location for the whole of Snowdonia.
Well appointed cottage with all equipment and amenities that anyone would need.
Reliable wi-fi.
Excellent bath and shower.
Fantastic place. Highly recommended. The cottage is stunning, and all amenities are met. Very peaceful and within driving distance to the snowdonia region
