Spotlessly clean, friendly and informative staff (and family) who own it. Good value Simple’s breakfast, good bar and choice of drinks. Gardens were lovely. Situated yards from Avenue de Champagne. Great value very comfortable and doesn’t try to be too fussy.

The hotel owner was exceptionally helpful to me after injuring myself during my pilgrims' walk.
Kindness and care for guests is the hallmark of an excellent establishment.
The rooms and facilities were clean and the breakfast was sufficient.

The hosts couldn’t do enough for us even chauffeuring us on a trip to the neighbouring vineyards and restaurants - a home from home

Very disappointing to visit at Easter - most of the champagne houses were closed and the good restaurants were all full. I have been before in the summer when its much better. I must recommend Kitsch Cafe - literally the best coffee I have tasted in France.

A lovely city with plenty to see and visit, lovely bars, restaurants and cafes. Of course the champagne tasting is a must and we found a town called Monthelon with wonderful tasting at a small champagne house called Denis Frezier. A must if you visit this area.

Epernay is an easy drive from Paris or take a train.
Epernay is an easy drive from Paris or take a train. There is a lot to see and do and beautiful countryside and small villages to explore if you are into food and wine it is a paradise but remember bookings are often required moths in advance for some tours. Be aware it does not target the budget traveller so be prepared. there are cheaper meal options and great shops with ready prepared french classics to re heat.
Overall a great place to Base yourself. We try and Stay at La Mignonette it is well located with parking and your own kitchen and laundry. it helped stretch the budget.

Amazing place if you love Champagne but also if you want to learn more. The newly opened museum is very useful to understand how nature and human genius created the Champagne success. People are generally very kind and smiling.
We had the pleasure to have a tasting in Champagne Michel Gonet which we suggest.
The only bad experience has been with the lousy service of the "Brasserie de la Banque". We booked a table 3 days before going there because of a special occasion and received the confirmation. We entered on the booked evening at 19.50 and at 20.28 no one came even to ask us if we wanted to drink something. We simply left and the old person at the entrance (who showed us the table 30 minutes before) even did not notice it . Fortunately there is the place "Brasserie Le Progres" in face of it. We have been happily there three times in three days

Our friends recommended we stay in Epernay rather than Reims and I am glad we did. Epernay and the main street which is world heritage listed is lovely to stroll up and down, and it's easy to pop into a champagne house for a quick drink. Make sure you book your Champagne House Tours months in advance as we left it late and missed a few of our favourites. We drove to Reims for Veuve, Pommery and Mumm and Moet and many others are in Epernay. Reims was about 30min drive and the champagne houses provide parking.

Compact town with excellent restaurants and everything you would want if you are an Oenophile with the emphasis on the Fizz!
If you are self catering they have a big SuperMarche on the outskirts and 2 Mini shops in the town.
Chez Max Restaurant is a must eat if you are in town
Also good Bus service if you do not have a car.. Easy to use and cheap
My boyfriend and I stayed for a longweekend in the Champagne district. We loved our room and the amenities, location was amazing, quiet but within walking distance to everything and with parking right outside the door. Pascale also went above and beyond to help us even after our visit as I forgot my passport and headphones in the room 😬 she posted them to our hotel in Paris the following day and we were able to get home from our lovely trip. 10/10 experience!
A unique beautiful place to stay in Ay. Avoid Sunday's as not much is open but the place is situated in a quaint little village, also close to Epernay which is a must see. Rooms are nice and spacious has everything you need, service was great and accommodating, the staff made sure to book us in for dinner at a recommended restaurant a few minutes walk from the hotel. A free champagne tasting was also offered on arrival which was a lovely surprise.
This property is a 5 star luxury spa experience. It is stylish, has contemporary decor, extremely comfortable and had everything we needed. The hot tub is a huge bonus. The host of this property is so welcoming, helpful and their attention to detail made our stay very special. Epernay town centre is a 10 minute walk away, close to the champagne house tours. Definitely recommend to stay.
Very nicely located littel hotel. About 15 minutes walk to the city center. Room was at bit small but had everything needed. Bathroom was rather new. The owners extremely friendly and caring about their guests. Enough parking space for cars. Breakfast was good for France, I missed some eggs but instead I had very good french croissants.
We will certainly come back to this place.
The hotel was perfectly situated in Epernay, close to the Avenue de Champagne and we could walk easily to restaurants and shops. The parking opposite is no longer available but an underground car park is close by. The staff at the hotel are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was good too.
La Cave de l'Avenue is perfectly located in the heart of the Boulevard de Champagne in Epernay. Our room was charming and comfortable. The breakfast was fresh, with delicious breads and an omelette on request. They also have an extensive wine/champagne bar and excellent tapas on the menu.
Beautiful hotel. Spotlessly clean. Very friendly welcome and patience with our poor attempts to speak French. Amazing views over the vineyards. Good breakfast. A 5 minute drive to the centre of Epernay where there were lots of places to eat and where we also had a warm welcome.
Wonderful apartment, in the centre of Epernay. Avenue de Champagne is only 2 minutes walk away. Very friendly host, very easy communication. 3 double bedrooms, lovely bathroom and well equipped kitchen. You could easily stay here with 6 people. I would definitely go here again.
This is a really lovely building in an excellent location for exploring central Epernay, and the champagne houses. The hotel itself is really charming, super clean and lovely design objets everywhere. Its more of a B&B though.
Great basic hotel on outskirts of Epernay. Bed very comfy, hotel nice & quiet. Lots of parking on site too. Easy to check in and out. Plus as travelling with dog there is some grassy areas in car park too which was great
I liked the whimsical fun decorations —and the location was perfect! Best bakery across the street, brunch across the street was fabulous too and an easy walk to anywhere in Epernay.
nice location really in the center of epernay, house was clean. Collecting the keys with a key box, nearby the apartment (other adres) so arriving late was no issue.
The location of the property was fantastic. Very central in Epernay and close to some bars, restaurants and a supermarket (and of course the Champagne houses)
The apartment is absolutely lovely, and the hosts are so kind and accommodating. It’s well-situated in Épernay and is just a 30 minute drive from Reims.
